Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper/Accounts Officer
Job Summary:
AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Accounts Officer to join our client's team. As a key member of the Accounts/Finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, month end/EOFY reporting, trust accounting/controlled monies, cashflows, PAYG, BAS and GST, credit card transactions/reconciliations, petty cash and trust audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable/accounts receivable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, month end/EOFY reporting, trust accounting/controlled monies, cashflows, PAYG, BAS and GST, credit card transactions/reconciliations, petty cash and trust audits;
- Bill posting and preparation;
- Ad hoc tasks (e.g. archiving, reviewing/documenting/improving accounting systems/processes).
Requirements:
- Diploma/certificate/degree in accounting/bookkeeping;
- Minimum 3 years (or more) hands-on experience as a bookkeeper/accounts officer;
- Trust accounting experience working for a law firm/legal industry or otherwise servicing law firm clients in an accounting/bookkeeping firm;
- Strong numeracy skills+ accuracy+ keen eye for detail;
- Efficient+ deadline-driven;
- Proven ability to thrive in a busy multi-tasking fast-paced environment;
- Commitment to working 4 or 5 days/week LONG-TERM in a permanent role.
