Working within our Corporate Practice, you will be responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing large and complex accounts. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying the mix of Marsh products and services the client holds.

This role requires a focus on developing strong client relationships and providing superior client service, including regular client contact with your own portfolio, insurance program renewals and working closely with your team. You will work closely with the Managing Principal and you will also collaborate with other areas in Marsh.

We will count on you to:

Manage the development, implementation and achievement of insurance programs which accurately address client needs Foster and maintain effective long term relationships with key client decision makers through regular meetings and liaison Retain and expand a book of business, catering to a select quantity of high-yield accounts to deliver to personal and team sales goals, and oversee/mentor junior broking professionals supporting on those accounts Maintain an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist claims personnel in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients Possess an understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation and other relevant legislation Develop research methodologies for account development work to gather detailed information on who the essential decision makers are, strategic business challenges and priorities for personal and team use when looking to expand the book of business Maintain a thorough understanding of service team capabilities and make account delegation decisions addressing account ownership issues, cross functional collaboration and assisting members with accounts Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers, clients and a broad range of Marsh colleagues across Australia through regular contact and liaison Support the Managing Principal with financial reporting and budgets for your team. Participate in industry events and conferences and client functions to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent Marsh
