Position: Principal Insurance Advisor
Location: Brisbane South
Contract: 10 months (initial)
A Local Council in Brisbane's South, dedicated to providing exceptional services to it's residents are currently seeking a highly skilled Principal Insurance Advisor to join their team and contribute to the strategic management of its corporate insurance portfolio.
As the Principal Insurance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation's insurance strategies align with our overall corporate goals. Your expertise will guide our decision-making processes, mitigate risks, and enhance our financial security. This 10-month contract offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community while further developing your own career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic insurance plans in alignment with the Council's objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on corporate insurance matters, including risk assessment, coverage analysis, and claims management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage potential risks across the organization.
- Analyze insurance data and market trends to make informed recommendations.
- Liaise with external insurance partners and negotiate favorable terms.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a corporate insurance role, with a focus on strategic planning.
- In-depth understanding of insurance principles, regulations, and market trends.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex insurance data and provide actionable insights.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIP, CRM, etc.) are advantageous.
