As an important part of the Library Services team within the Community Development Directorate, you will contribute to both the strategic development of the library service and oversee the operational management of our four branch libraries and two community centres. This role will research developments in the provision of library functions and ensure library programming and services meet the ethos of the Community Development Directorate, which is to build the capacity of the City of Rockingham community. You will use your strong leadership abilities to coordinate operational planning of branch library functions including staff training and development.

- Eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association OR relevant qualifications in Community Development
- Ability to develop and deliver a range of programs to meet both library and community development objectives
- Experience in a leadership role including previous supervisory experience leading a diverse team
- Experience in the development and delivery of community based programs and services
- High level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to lead change management processes across a diverse team.
We are offering a gross salary of $97,537 to $103,141 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, and:
- 11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
- A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
- Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annum
