Are you passionate about engaging with the community to establish strong links across multiple agencies and stakeholders to provide a variety of programs and activities that ensure enhanced literacy, lifelong learning and community development? As part of our Community Development Division, you will coordinate the operations of the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre and Baldivis South Community Centre, with an emphasis on providing effective team leadership, maximisation of revenue and community usage, achieving community capacity building outcomes and integrating library and community centre services to people of all ages.

You will hold a qualification in Librarianship or Community Development with experience in library operations and staff management.

You will have opportunities to work on exciting new projects and assist in delivering milestones and a range of programs.

A working knowledge of marketing principles, budgeting, cost allocation and financial analysis will help you achieve the position objectives by allowing you to promote and market the library and community centre as a destination of choice and a place where residents can be linked to resources, information and knowledge.


  • Tertiary qualification in Librarianship/community development
  • Experience in leadership role involving staff management
  • Working knowledge of marketing principles
  • Experience in facilities management
  • Highly developed project management skills that include the timely delivery of milestones and programs
  • An understanding and appreciation of community development principles
