About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager Funding and Billing to join our client, a leading provider in the aged care sector. This newly developed position is crucial for managing and optimising funding and invoicing processes across various community services, including In-home Aged Care, Disability Services, and Social Services. Additionally, you will oversee the billing for Residential Aged Care in collaboration with the RAC Manager Funding and Documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the organisation receives appropriate funding for each client through government rebates, HCP, CHSP, NDIS, claims conference, and other sources, as well as client fees.
  • Streamline the invoicing process, ensuring it is seamless, understandable, transparent, and reconciled against funding entitlements, contributing to a positive client experience.
  • Monitor client balances, recognise non-payment and potential bad debt, and manage these issues with clients, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Establish the Funding and Billing team by setting up structures, processes, and systems. Coach and develop team members and promote continuous process improvement.
  • Actively support staff in the field, ensuring they are enabled by effective processes, systems, and practices.
  • Work closely with Business Development and the Finance and Corporate Services Teams. Collaborate with Business and Mission and Operational Executive Directors on potential philanthropic and other funding sources. Assist the Grant Writer as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Provide SME insights to Business and Mission for developing, assessing, and adapting service lines to meet changing client needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing funding and billing within the aged care, disability services, or social services sectors.
  • Strong understanding of government funding mechanisms, including HCP, CHSP, and NDIS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial management and regulatory compliance.
