About the role

The Fleet Coordinator role at SA Water is pivotal in coordinating the delivery of efficient, centralised, and compliant fleet services. This includes managing suitable, safe, sustainable, and reliable assets to support SA Water's strategic goals and legislative requirements. The role encompasses a blend of administrative and operational responsibilities, with a focus on procurement and the management of light and heavy fleet assets. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for fleet management. Our ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively contribute to fleet-related projects and initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure fleet matters are addressed efficiently and prioritise according to business requirements.
  • Liaise with operational teams, suppliers and service providers.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of fleet viability and performance.
  • Coordinate asset procurement, replacement, and salvage processes.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proven experience in fleet management, including acquisition and disposal processes
  • Project or program coordination experience (desirable)
  • Familiarity with National Heavy Vehicle Law and relevant legislation (desirable)
  • Experience with document and information management systems (desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
