About the Opportunity

Reporting to General Manager Energy Services, you will be a member of the Energy Leadership Team (LT) for RACV Energy and be accountable for developing and executing the delivery of RACV’s home electrification proposition.

This is an important Enterprise leadership role where you will have ownership for the full P&L performance of RACV’s home electrification products and services.

We are looking for someone who has a strong commercial and innovation focus and can play a critical role in achieving the business’ vision of assisting our customers to transition to a clean energy future as well as being for driving the growth and transformation of the RACV’s electrification and home energy innovation initiatives by developing and implementing strategies to promote the adoption of electrified solutions and services.

As the Head of Electrification, you will have ownership of product design and go-to-market strategy which will require you to work collaboratively with a range of internal / related entity stakeholders, including RACV Solar, the Home & Energy Division, JET Charge, ChargeFox, and Home Trades Hub Australia, among others.

Further accountabilities for this role include:

  • Identify, quantify and execute new initiatives, propositions, partnerships and/or customer propositions that result in increased volume, revenue and value for the Home Electrification P&L.
  • Deliver a continuous program of product innovation and development to position RACV as a market leader in home electrification.
  • Lead the end-to-end product management process for the home energy segment, including ideation, roadmap development, product prioritisation, investment case development and go to market campaigns.
  • Identify and participate in the execution of M&A opportunities and formation of strategic partnerships that support the delivery of the RACV electrification strategy.

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in new energy
  • Strong track record in design, development and delivery of new products / service for consumer markets.
  • Relevant University qualification in Business or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in operating and influencing at senior levels within an organization C.Suite to Board level
  • Experience in energy products and services including renewables, storage, EV’s, VPPs, retail energy
  • Extensive understanding of product management, human centered design and consumer behaviour
  • Strong commercial background
  • Exceptional leadership with demonstrated ability to create engaged and high performing teams.
  • Proven experience in driving product and service innovation. 
  • Experienced in engaging and influencing across all organisational levels, particularly up to Senior Executive levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management with demonstrated ability to build solid and genuine working relationships that yield results
  • A self-starter with a bias towards action and able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with experience developing robust business cases
  • Comfortable making decisions in a rapidly moving environment
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands while working on complex problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
