About the role

 

We are looking for a Casual Cellar Door Host to join our Hardys Tintara Team

 

As a Cellar Door Host, you will be the face of the Hardys Brand, supporting the Cellar Door Manager to deliver exceptional wine and tour experiences to our visitors, and showcasing some of the most globally recognised wines in our portfolio.  

 

This role is Casual working 2-3 shifts a week, including some weekends, with the opportunity for more shifts as required. 
 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience to cellar door customers, personalising storytelling and experiences based on the customer’s needs
  • Operate the cash register, including daily opening, closing and balancing duties
  • Promote our wine club membership to visitors and sign up new members
  • Undertake daily housekeeping duties to maintain the cellar door appearance
  • Restock the cellar door and stock room, and organise wine orders for customers
  • Undertake basic food preparation and serve food  
  • Grow our member data base and sales by promoting inhouse activities and our portfolio
  • Support the Cellar Door Manager to host events that showcase our historic Cellar Door and portfolio
     
What you’ll bring:

 

  • Experience in a cellar door or the wine industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and with a team
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA)
  • Previous Hospitality and Food handling qualifications or knowledge of safe food preparation and handling
  • WSET Level 2 (desirable)
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft suit and EDM software
