We are searching for a visionary leader to join our dynamic team at The Border Cancer Hospital, supporting the Chief Executive Officer in excellence and innovative patient care.

The Opportunity

In this role, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborating with the Senior Management team, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation's success by providing clinical leadership, overseeing patient flow in and out of the hospital, and offering operational support to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting growth, business development, and addressing the business needs identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care
  • Maintaining a relentless focus on clinical excellence across the organization
  • Supervising care delivery and coordinating the activities of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes within resource constraints and compliance requirements
  • Planning and managing hospital and departmental budgets in consultation with other executive team members
  • Assessing workplace culture and implementing actions to support positive culture maintenance
  • Managing Human Resources to forecast future workforce requirements and develop and implement strategies accordingly

About You

You excel at fostering positive working relations with key stakeholders, developing people and building high-performance teams. In addition, you will also demonstrate:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Experience in a management role or equivalent  
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide teams effectively
  • Experience in strategic planning, reporting, and policy development
  • Familiarity with quality and risk management frameworks, as well as clinical governance principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle complex operational challenges in a dynamic environment

The Hospital

The Border Cancer Hospital consists of a 28 chair day oncology ward and a 30 bed inpatient oncology ward, over two levels. The onsite medical consulting suites and radiotherapy centre are in close proximity ensuring a seamless experience for patients. We are committed to working closely with all cancer services within our community to ensure comprehensive cancer care is delivered to a high standard to the people of our region.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
