Tutt Bryant Hire, part of the larger Tutt Bryant Group, is one of Australia’s leading hire company’s, hiring dry hire plant and equipment to a cross section of government agencies, industries, and earthmoving contractors.

The organisation is seeking an experienced individual to manage the branch operations and ensure smooth co-ordination of services, as well expand business opportunities and networks.

The role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of Tutt Bryant Hire in Traralgon ensuring a consistent customer focused service, a safe and rewarding work environment for employees, and company profitability.

The successful candidate is required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external business relationships, strong time management and organisational skills, a strong background in sales and business development with the ability to manage staff, assist the sales team to achieve monthly targets, and have a vast knowledge of the range of products we provide. Previous operational management experience is essential, ideally in the hire, building or industrial sector.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate: (please address each point in covering letter)

  • Relevant operational management experience including personnel, policy, safety, training and quality systems
  • Previous experience within a similar sized business or operation in a similar type of industry
  • Previous sales and hands on experience with some of the equipment range.
  • Previous experience with inventory control
  • Well-developed team leadership skills to effectively achieve company outcomes / targets through others
  • High level of communication skills (both written and oral) including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively
  • High level of Computer Literacy

This role may include

Relief for other hire roles, branch duties and participation in on-call after hours roster. The role may also involve some travel with overnight stays possible.
