We’re seeking applications from Test and Commissioning engineers for our client – a globally renowned electrical systems manufacturing company. Reporting to the Engineering Manager within control and communications systems team, you will be responsible for developing test plans and procedures and ensuring that testing activities fully cover all aspects of the system under test.

It is a site-based contract role for 6 to 12 months with good daily/hourly rates. The job location is Sydney Olympic Park NSW.

Roles and responsibilities:  
Contribute to System Requirement Analysis activities to confirm requirements are testable and allocated. Assess system design for overall compliance with contractual requirements. Ensuring effective management of resources as per the test strategy Conduct tests including formal customer acceptance tests and writing test reports include factory test, site integration acceptance testing and migration test. Managing defects and tracking their resolution Maintain the configuration baseline by following the established processes and execute approved engineering changes with required regression testing. Collaborate and influence across multiple teams to ensure good quality delivery of testing and commissioning activities.
Skills and Experience required for the role:  
Hands on experience in testing and commissioning of SCADA or similar systems for a large-scale infrastructure project Experience of technical and engineering work on Transport related Integrated Communications and Supervision Systems projects. System engineering experience. Tertiary system engineering qualification or relevant Ability to work at the site full time. Basic networking experience Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
