Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Rail Signalling Commissioning Manager/Engineer with Sydney Trains experience to join our ever-growing Rail Operations business unit in Seven Hills, NSW.
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on some of the most prestigious and complex projects in the industry, ensuring your skills and expertise continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure they meet relevant TfNSW standards.
- Effectively manage costs and subcontractors.
- Oversee the implementation of project strategies, resulting in successful handovers to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage the competencies of Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning resources, allocating appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct compliance reviews and audits for all testing and commissioning work undertaken by Laing O'Rourke.
- Assess and manage training requirements for Laing O'Rourke Testing and Commissioning resources, sharing lessons learned from each project.
- Evaluate the operational readiness of each project to guarantee it meets client expectations and is ready for operational use.
- Provide regular reports on progress, issues, and activity status.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in railway signalling, site testing, and commissioning.
- Proven track record of managing teams during the delivery phase of testing and commissioning.
- Expertise in preparing comprehensive testing and commissioning documents, including strategy, methodology, work packages, procedures, reports, SWMS, JSEAs, etc.
- Relevant Statement of Competency in Signalling Engineer/Tester in Charge/Commissioning Engineer for Sydney Trains and/or ARTC required.
- Membership or Fellowship in IRSE (Institute of Railway Signal Engineers) preferred.
