The Senior Delivery Lead sits in the Core Property Data Portfolio within Proptrack..

REA is evolving how it leverages data and technology to deliver benefits for customers. After the acquisition of PropTrack in May 2018, and following large growth in recent years, we are now looking for an experienced Delivery Leader to help drive the building of a property data universe.

PropTrack provides property data and technical platform solutions to customers in the financial and government sectors. The Engineering Team within PropTrack works together to deliver solutions to our internal and external customers. It is the core delivery centre for developing solutions to meet customer priorities and align with PropTrack's technology strategy.

Day to day of the job

As a Senior Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a large-scale program of work focused on building the next generation property data platform. On top of this you will have day today delivery responsibilities to manage for two squads that are involved in the program.

To do this we’ll need you to:

People

  • You will form a part of the Core Property Data Leadership team, and be jointly accountable for team health, happiness, and performance.
  • Positively contribute to the culture of your team, build engagement and morale, be involved in recruiting, set structure and processes, and build and maintain a high performing team.

Delivery

  • Facilitate and drive the end-to-end delivery of the program of work across the cross-functional and agile team(s).
  • Take the lead at the inception phase to ensure that initiatives are scoped, planned, and resourced appropriately.
  • Work closely with our Product team to facilitate scope and priority conversations.
  • Keep senior stakeholders informed and engaged, manage risks and issues and coordinate releases.
  • Create transparency of deliverables for stakeholders via fit for purpose reporting.
  • Responsible for your team’s capital and operational expenses in line with the budget
  • Manage and coordinate external and internal delivery dependencies and align to project timelines

Technology

  • Provide advice and thought leadership and ensure successful design and implementation of technology strategies that align with REA & PropTrack Strategies.
  • Work with our Tech Leads and Architects to assess new technologies and ensure our technology decisions align to REA best practice and can be operationalised.
  • Manage and ensure an appropriate level of system health as per tech OKRs.

Community

  • You will use your extensive experience to make an impactful contribution to REA beyond your immediate stream of work. You will take an active role in mentoring others and will contribute to the Delivery and broader Tech communities to continue to improve our capabilities.

Who we’re looking for 

A strong blend of program management skills, proven track record in managing end-to-end strategic programs, a deep understanding of the Engineering landscape, and the ability to build strong partnerships with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. You will create long-term vision for the team and associated roadmap for your areas of ownership.

Diverse Program management & Delivery leadership capabilities and will guide successful outcomes by influencing others and going deep into issues. Also, you will understand the business strategy and align the development teams to this to accelerate the program.

  • Practical knowledge of agile software delivery methodologies
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills
  • Manage a large technical program that span multiple teams and product areas
  • Manage often high-volume and high complexity dependencies and risks between teams by aligning stakeholders and escalating
  • Report on success metrics for programs including major risks
  • Advanced leadership, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Developed understanding of Data Engineering and or Complex backend systems.
  • Experience in leading large scale technology migration projects, preferably in Data space is highly desirable
  • Guide, facilitate and close technical discussions to unblock program outcomes
  • 5+ years of experience leading technology projects using broad range of agile methodologies and in a variety of settings, including distributed teams.
  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.
