What is a talent Register?

This talent register has been established to connect with people who are interested in adventurous opportunities across our METRONET Office.

You might be looking to take that next step on the career ladder and want some experience; you might be looking to gain a new perspective from another department on secondment; you might be looking to get back into the workforce a few days a week – there are lots of possibilities. We are looking for high-performing individuals with a keen interest in being part of a team that really delivers.

We actively monitor the register, and you may be contacted if an opportunity arises that suits your skills and experience.

Once you have registered, your application will remain active in the register for a period of 12 months.

This register will be used to fill short term opportunities up to 12 months.

About the roles :

Depending on the level, your responsibilities will range from providing direction, guidance, and fostering an environment that empowers others to thrive, to hands on tasks.

Governance and Business team

This area ensures the efficient and effective delivery and management of Program governance and corporate support services such as procurement, HR and administration for the METRONET Office. We are committed to achieving quality outcomes and are looking for people who share this commitment.

You could be coordinating and preparing responses to ministerial requests and executive correspondence or organising meetings, drafting minutes and preparing meeting papers. You could also be asked to deliver a special project such as specific piece of research, change management, reviews, assessments and non-financial audits for example.

  • Senior Information Management Officer L5
  • Senior Program Officer - Governance L6
  • Manager Program Governance L8

Finance and Budget Management team

The team plays a vital role in the financial management and oversight of the METRONET programs projects. We are committed to achieving value-for-money outcomes for the State and are looking for people who share this commitment.

You could be providing strategic financial, commercial, and budget management advice to key stakeholders, including the METRONET Executive, Department of Transport Executives, the Minister’s Office or the Department of Treasury. You will engage with finance and budget teams across the Transport portfolio to actively manage and control the METRONET’s budget at a program and project level through proactive engagement and negotiation with key stakeholders. Additionally, you could be conducting detailed financial and commercial analysis, monitoring budgets, and offering strategic advice on project budget performance, emerging risks, and commercial decisions.
