The Role
The Commercial and Contracts Officer primary responsibility is ensuring Arc’s rights in relation to the rail corridor are maintained by actively managing third party requests in relation to the rail corridor through working with local government, commercial entities and members of the public. The role is also responsible for managing Arc’s contract management systems and facilitating invoicing of Arc’s ancillary commercial contracts.
Key Duties
- Providing end to end management of a variety of agreements from assisting with contract drafting through to execution and ongoing contract management
- Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to find solutions to meet third party requests safely without eroding Arc’s rights
- Working closely with our safety team and third parties to develop, implement and review safety interface agreements
- Proactively managing the Commercial team’s contract management systems, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Maintaining the Ancillary Billing excel workbook, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date and facilitating billing of these agreements
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in contract management and contract drafting desirable but not essential
- Fundamental excel skills required, more advanced excel skills desirable but not essential
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision making skills, with the ability to manage risks and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management given high volume of requests and competing priorities
