About the Role

The Genus Group is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our Commercial team in Perth.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading end-to-end service provider for essential power and telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with operational and commercial teams to coordinate contractual requirements and securities, implement risk management processes, review risk registers, and check risk controls from tender to contract execution.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients during procurement events.
  • Review and negotiate new contracts and agreements to align with the Genus Commercial Risk Initiatives.
  • Develop and transfer comprehensive handover files from the pre-contracts phase to the operational teams, ensuring all residual risks are known and recorded.
  • Assist operational teams with the compilation of claims and contractual notices over $100,000.
  • Ensure all major claims are initiated effectively and maintain compliance with all service contracts and Company commercial policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain client stakeholder management plans that identify key client stakeholders, objectives, and effective partnering strategies.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in business, contracts, or commercial law, or other relevant technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial or contract manager role.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract law, commercial negotiation, and risk management.
  • Strong business acumen, including strong professional writing and development of business case documentation.
  • Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements.
  • High-level stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, schedule, and plan.
  • Ability to work independently and within a cohesive team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to analyze and solve problems.
