About the Role
Are you passionate about protecting the financial system and leading a dedicated team? BOQ Group is excited to welcome a new Manager - AML Operations to our family on a 9-month max term contract. In this crucial role, you’ll be the heart of our AML monitoring and screening function, ensuring our AML/CTF operational goals are not just met, but surpassed with excellence.
As the Manager, you’ll be the guiding force behind operations, detection and reporting potential AML/CTF incidents. Your leadership will be key in maintaining the high quality of our operational delivery, working closing with SMEs in the space, alongside supporting the leaders in your team.
You’ll be at the forefront of assessing potential AML/CTF threats, designing and implementing effective processes, and monitoring compliance while liaising strong stakeholder relationships among change management. Investigating financial crimes related to the bank’s activities will be part of your mission, as well as staying ahead of emerging AML/CTF trends and methodologies. You’ll also review internal reports and oversee reporting to external regulators like AUSTRAC whilst managing.
About you
We’re looking for a leader with a proven track record in managing teams within an AML/investigations environment. You should have a deep understanding of AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC reporting requirements, within the banking industry preferred but not necessary.
Strong operational leadership experience, managing a large team and your ability to engage and manage stakeholders, including business partners, regulators, and external law enforcement departments, will be crucial. We value highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent negotiation abilities.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact and lead a passionate team in the fight against financial crime, we want to hear from you. Join us at BOQ Group, where we value integrity, innovation, and excellence.
