The Manager – IT Standards role sits within our group IT function and will see you working at our Head Office in Victoria Park, Perth WA on a permanent full-time basis. It is a newly created position which will drive the levels of consistency in which technology change initiatives are delivered across the Group. It is a unique opportunity to play a key role on a number of exciting digital transformation projects modernising our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and operationalisation of minimum IT Standards across the business to achieve consistency in which technology is adopted, changed and maintained.
• Liaise between senior management, technical staff and business stakeholders, playing a key role in managing the relationship between enterprise-wide technology teams.
• Engage with stakeholders tasked with technology change responsibilities to understand the drivers, technical dependency and architectural considerations, and resource needs to support their projects and initiatives.
• Influence technology decisions to improve the consistency in which IT Standards are applied across the Group.
• Keep up to date with technology best practices and trends to assess their relevance to Monadelphous. Where appropriate, initiate and influence updates to IT Standards to adopt any suitable changes.
• Communicate and manage IT demand with management such that technology projects and resources can be allocated and managed in line with strategic priorities.

What you will bring:
• Prior Management experience in an IT setting, including a minimum of 3-years’ experience in a similar IT collaboration and interface role. Experience in the resource or mining industry would be advantageous.
• Good business acumen to understand broader strategic business objectives and appreciate the business benefits and requirements related to technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to navigate discussions with the “bigger picture” in mind and provide advice accordingly.
• Experience in negotiating outcomes which are in the best interest of the Company and influencing technology decision making.
• Demonstrated experience in developing strong relationships at various levels across a business and the ability to influence at each level.
• A good understanding of modern technologies, systems, IT processes and architectures.
• Experience in applying principles, guidelines and standards across a broad technology landscape.
• Commitment to staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or Project Management would be highly desirable.
