Our client is a well-known, global, alternative investment brand. Having opened their first office in Australia recently, the investment team has been highly active deploying capital across a variety of high-profile deals in the market. The team invests utilising the whole capital stack i.e. control equity, structured products and debt. Some of their equity investments have been larger than entire funds in the mid-market space in Australia. Deals to date have been focused in the property and financial services sectors and the fund now has four portfolio companies. The team take a risk on approach and can look at a diverse range of deals in the market.

The team is now six investment and operating professionals. All members of the team are hands-on, have great initiative, are humble and will work closely with this hire to support your growth as an investor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fund which is at a pivot point in their growth story in the Australian private investment space.

The role will work across a variety of responsibilities for execution and portfolio management. This could include business and forecast modelling, investment committee materials preparation, pitch decks, due diligence, dataroom management, valuation analysis and general analysis work. These tasks will be for newly-originated deals as well as bolt-on opportunities for the current portfolio.

We are seeking an Investment Associate or Investment Analyst to join the team. The candidate will most likely come from an investment banking role in a General Industrials, FIG, Infrastructure or restructuring team. It is likely the candidate will have two to four years of experience in this context. If the candidate comes from a professional services background they may have 1-2 further years. This would be from deals, modelling, valuations or transaction services teams.
