INVESTMENT ANALYST - PRIVATE EQUITY
- Base salary range $120,000 - $140,000

As a dedicated investment manager, we aim to do one thing exceptionally well: grow and protect our clients’ wealth through investing. We are passionate about creating value for our clients by identifying outstanding investment ideas and designing portfolios that perform over the long term. Our funds target a diverse range of strategies including, but not limited to, long only Australian, global and Asian equities, global long-short equity and private equity.

The Ellerston Capital Private Equity team are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Sydney team. You will be required to conduct in depth research on key sectors and target companies, conducting due diligence, financial modelling and valuations. You will also be required to prepare qualitative and quantitative investment papers, support the transaction process, and source leads for potential investments.

Essential to your success will be your ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

- Tertiary qualifications in a finance or business discipline with strong academic results. Study towards or completion of the CFA level III and/or MBA highly regarded.
- Six plus years’ experience working with private equity products in the funds management industry with an outstanding track record of results.
- Extensive experience researching health care companies’ essential.
- Extensive experience researching dual use technology companies within the Defence, National Security and Intelligence sectors is highly regarded.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, including financial modelling.
- Well-developed written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship management skill.
- Resilient - able to meet timelines under pressure and prioritise.

**Salary**: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

- Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (required)
