About the Role
Join our team as a Food Preparation Specialist
- Responsible for food preparation for patients, staff and events, maintaining high standards of the quality and cleanliness according to the Food Safety, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policy.
- Fast-paced role requiring strong time management to meet the demands of hospital food services effectively
- Reports to the Hotel Services Manager and collaborates with a diverse team.
- Involves 7-day rotating shift work with every second weekend off and no late nights.
About You
To succeed in this role you will be an experienced qualified chef with a passion for culinary preparation and service.
You will also bring;
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Hospital or Hotel central kitchen.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- Capability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements.
- Experience with preparation of modified textured meals
- Must have a thorough understanding of Allergen management practices.
Desirable:
- Experience in Healthcare catering is preferred.
- Experience in Modified texture foods would be great.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $37.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
