About the role

AGL has an exciting Part-Time opportunity to join the team as a Senior Risk Advisor in a Job Share capacity. You will work with the existing Senior Risk Advisor 3 days per week to champion a positive risk management culture within Customer Markets, proactively supporting the business to identify and mitigate risk. You will be a subject matter expert in effective risk and issue management with responsibility for working across Customer Markets to ensure proactive management of operational and strategic risk, effective escalations of issues and supporting business units to meet compliance obligations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contributing to the establishing, managing and continuously improving risk and issues frameworks across Customer Markets, in accordance with AGL’s Risk and Compliance management frameworks.

  • Providing practical and pragmatic advice to the business to improve maturity of risk governance and culture

  • Managing and following up agreed action items and recommendations for risk mitigation and issue management

  • Provide advice across Customer Markets regarding compliance and risk management, assisting them to mature their approach to identification, assessment and monitoring of risks and issues

What you’ll bring:

  • Broad business knowledge and demonstrated ability to partner with business and understand and communicate the balance between risk and commercial outcomes

  • A demonstrated willingness and ability to take ownership and accountability of decisions and advice.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with high quality written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to influence at all levels of the business

  • Experience in influencing stakeholders with an ability to focus on the critical issues

  • Work collaboratively with our people at all levels across the organisation.
