What to Expect

Tesla is looking for an experienced and dynamic Utility Support Coordinator to join our utility scale stationary battery systems team. The primary job is to create daily schedules for technicians, coordinate site outage activities, arrange special equipment needs for sites, analyse and interpret data for reporting, and support fleet growth. Applicants should be reliable multi-taskers who have what it takes to accelerate the world towards a more sustainable future   

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and prioritize utility maintenance activities, using real-time report dashboards 
  • Work with scheduling tools to ensure Utility Field Service Technician schedules are accurate and up to date, including coordination with other business sectors 
  • Create and schedule preventative maintenance activities based on contract obligations on OEM and third-party equipment 
  • Administration of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) 
  • Coordinate Utility Service Technician travel and trainings 
  • Work with the Utility team to drive global performance based KPI’s 
  • Continuously improve and optimise planning of operations and maintenance activities 
  • Manage contractor and vendor systems to support Utility site requirements  
  • Assist with parts and tooling inventories 
  • Work with different departments to share resources across regional sites and optimise personnel utilisation 

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade Certifications or Bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • Trade skill / industry experience in a similar role 
  • Prior scheduling experience, maintenance of electrical services preferred  
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data including database querying 
  • Excellent computer skills especially using Excel, Outlook, and Word 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills both from a technical and client facing perspective 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable performance required 
  • Ability to communicate and function well in a mobile office setting 
  • Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused 
  • Willingness to travel 
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
