Appointment Pool

Newton Moore Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Newton Moore Senior High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an of $5,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school. 

About the role

Newton Moore SHS is looking for passionate individuals to make a valuable addition to our friendly teaching team in this challenging and rewarding role.

This role will suit applicants who are highly motivated, student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful academic and pastoral care learning experiences.  provides students from Year 7 to 12 with a personalised educational experience. The school, at the heart of South Bunbury, has a strong sense of community and celebrates the strengths of students through a variety of innovative programs.

Newton Moore SHS has a strong focus on building staff capacity through Classroom Management Support (CMS) and Instructional Strategies in Education (ISE). We are a PBS school and have a focus on ensuring we recognise positive behaviours and actions. We have multiple Conference Accredited Trained (CAT) teachers who support teachers to engaging in high level reflection.
