Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity to support critical administrative functions within a dynamic social services environment? We are currently looking for a dedicated Carer Payments Officer to join our client on a temporary basis.

As a Carer Payments Officer, you will play a pivotal role in processing placements and Carer Support Payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial operations within the Carers Payment program.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Casual, Part-time (0.6 FTE - 3 days per week)
  • Duration: From 20th May 2024 to end of August 2024

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient administrative and data processing support for the State-wide Out of Home Care System.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in relation to placements and Carer Support Payments.
  • Undertake quality checking, recording, and verifying placements to facilitate timely Carer Support Payments.
  • Manage financial services and support related to the Carers Payment program.

Key Attributes:

  • High level of customer service skills and data entry accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines within a high-volume data environment.
  • Experience in providing administrative support with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Clearance (NPC).
