About the Role

The Security Vetting Advisor will ensure that all personnel are suitable to be granted clearance and is responsible for ensuring that all screening and vetting has been carried out in line with Datacom Client requirements in line with policies and procedures.

They will also manage the renewal of clearances and associated checks and documentation to ensure that all Datacom staff are compliant with customer vetting requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, implement, coordinate and oversee all security vetting measures.
  • Provide security vetting advice to management and employees.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing programme of security vetting education and awareness for all security cleared employees.
  • Liaise build relationships with clients on security vetting matters
  • Work with other members of the team, both in Australia, and New Zealand towards a consistent, efficient approach to vetting

  • Proactively contribute to the development of policies and procedures, applying an improvement mindset.
  • The highest level of personal honesty, integrity, conduct and confidentiality to withstand any level of scrutiny, so as to project a professional positive image.
  • Ability to deal confidently and effectively with people at all levels across the social spectrum from all backgrounds.
  • A high level of tact, sensitivity, and maturity in outlook.
  • Previous experience in a similar role that requires strict confidentiality and working with sensitive information desired but not essential.
  • Have or can obtain NV1 clearance.

Due to the Nature of the Clients you will be working with you will need to be an AU Citizen to hold NV1 clearance. We do however consider work visas for other opportunities across Datacom so please keep an eye on our careers page for any roles of interest.
