**About the role**:
Victoria Police have an exciting opportunity for a professional Security Architect Analyst to provide support to architectural governance, strategy and roadmap development across Victoria Police and significantly contribute to Group Technology ICT Systems. A key deliverable of this role is to inform how Victoria Police can most effectively achieve security outcomes in its current and future objectives through information, communications, and digital technology within the Security Information and Privacy Division.

The Security, Information and Privacy Division (SIPD) is responsible for the strategic direction, governance of processes, provision of advice, stewardship and promotion of protective and cyber security, privacy, information management and records management.

This role will be working in a professional, highly dynamic and established team of security professionals and will be regularly exposed to the various disciplines that Victoria Police operates in.

**Your duties will include**:

- Assessing the organisation's current and emerging network and systems architecture for potential vulnerabilities and provide security architectural recommendation to prioritise remediation of risks.
- Assisting the development and implementation of high-level security architectures and solution options in response to business initiatives and requirements.
- Collaborating effectively with other IT and business areas, product managers and product owners to ensure security controls are integrated in all aspects of our technology solutions.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of security controls across technology product to ensure alignment of technology solutions with business goals.
- Staying current on new technologies and industry trends and making recommendations that aligns with organisational requirements, governance frameworks, best practice, and industry standards.
- Contributing towards the maintenance of a repository for security architecture standards and guidelines, ensuring awareness and compliance with these standards and guidelines, including compliance with external requirements and their business relevance.
- Participating in governance processes and forums involving Enterprise Security Architecture, providing advice guidance as required.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Experience and knowledge in Security Architecture.
- Solid understanding of the Protective Security Policy Framework.
- A strong and diverse background in delivering results in information, communications and digital technologies with focus on security controls across all domains.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of ICT and business stakeholders and bring diverse groups together to achieve shared objectives, ensuring security outcomes are achieved.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate the complexity of government to achieve results and obtain support.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to a dynamic and rapidly changing environment with flexibility.
- Resilience and creativity to deal with resistance and identify innovative solutions to meet organisational security objectives.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to articulate a vision and present information in compelling ways.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results and marshal professional expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation and provision of responsive, clear and concise specialist advice, recommendations and solutions both verbally and in writing through effective research, negotiation and consultation with technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills together with demonstrated strong written communication skills
- Undergraduate degree in Technology, Cyber Security, Architecture or Engineering disciplines is highly desirable, as is a CISSP certification.
- Experience working in an agile and dynamic technology environment
- Demonstrated experience working with Architecture and Security Frameworks (i.e. SABSA, SAFe)

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) x 3-year Fixed Term opportunity.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
