A Day in the Life
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Territory Manager to join our Australia Surgical Innovations sales team. In this role, you will be driving sales growth and market share by promoting our General Surgical, Advanced Surgical and Hernia Care Technologies portfolio to key surgeons and clinical staff within Newcastle region. This is an excellent opportunity to join Medtronic and be part of a successful sales team The successful candidate will be commercially astute and have a passion to promote and deliver our surgical technologies to deliver against sales targets.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customers.
Accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities.
Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
Knowledge and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or Business related discipline is essential
Proven sales experience selling into hospitals with a success track record in the medical devices
Strong understanding of the Australia public and private healthcare system and experience working within Operating Theatres.
Solid clinical knowledge with the ability to build strong working relationships with key surgeons and other medical staff
Self-motivated with a resilient attitude who strives to exceed customer expectations and deliver outstanding results
