Firm background
Arnold Bloch Leibler is a premium Australian commercial law firm renowned for advising clients on their most important transactions, commercial issues and disputes. From offices in Melbourne and Sydney, the firm provides advice to a diverse range of entrepreneurial Australian listed companies, private businesses, high-net-worth individuals and international corporations. The firm also has a dedicated public interest practice providing advice to charities and not-for-profit organisations relating to significant legal, social, environmental and cultural issues.
Our clients push the envelope when it comes to making their mark in the built environment, with a focus on commercial, residential and industrial work. From high end hotels to residential skyscrapers, they need out of the box legal advice, at times extending to aviation law where the sky is literally the limit.
The Construction | Property & Development Practice
Our national Construction | Property & Development practice is led by a team of pre-eminent partners who have gained a reputation for understanding our client's needs and achieving outstanding results for them.
The firm's Construction | Property & Development practice adopts a consolidated approach to development matters, which is critical for managing timeframes and containing costs. Moreover, the group is unique in terms of its collective experience and depth of expertise, having represented clients in a large number of landmark development projects around Australia for nearly half a century.
The Construction group advises on among other things the negotiation, drafting, management and enforcement of building and development agreements primarily from a developer and investor perspective. Our objective is to provide clients with the legal foundation necessary to assist them in minimising risks and maximising returns from a construction and development project. Our experience in construction litigation also assists clients to manage and resolve potential disputes as economically and favourably as possible.
The Construction group is led by Kevin Frawley, Partner. Kevin is ranked as a leading lawyer in the areas of construction and real estate in a number of prominent international guides to law firms, including Chambers Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. Chambers Asia-Pacific comments that his “knowledge and understanding of the commercial issues for developers are outstanding”, and commends him for providing “direct, succinct advice within a cost-effective and timely context”.
