About the Role

We are seeking a skilled back-end construction lawyer to join our national practice. As a key member of our team, you will assist clients on varied and large-scale projects across multiple sectors, including social infrastructure, renewables, commercial, residential, and industrial.

You will work closely with our partners and team to manage disputes, including high-value and complex litigation, arbitration, adjudications, and expert determinations. Your expertise will be essential in providing clear and pointed advice, preparing and drafting court documents and legal submissions, and instructing counsel and managing technical experts.

With a strong commitment to client outcomes and a desire to continually develop your technical capability, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of matters, from contract administration disputes to building defect claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage disputes and litigation involving clients in the construction industry
  • Prepare and draft court documents and legal submissions
  • Provide advice on contract administration and building defect claims
  • Work closely with partners and team members to achieve client outcomes

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years PAE experience as a back-end construction lawyer
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry and relevant legislation
  • Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
