About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our Technology team. Reporting to the Technology Service Delivery Manager, in this role you’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. This role is critical in ensuring that our IT infrastructure not only meets current demands but is also scalable and secure for future growth.

In this role, you will:

  • System Administration - Manage and maintain virtual environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Network Administration - Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Technical Support - Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues.
  • Leadership - Lead, mentor, and grow with the technology operations team, fostering a high-performance culture

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Significant experience in a systems administration role, with a focus on VMware, Veeam, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Veeam Backup, including backup strategies, restore procedures etc
  • Extensive experience with Active Directory administration, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication protocols.
  • Expertise in managing Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams across the organisation.
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
