About the Business:

A well-established IT Services company is seeking a Helpdesk and Field Technician to join their team servicing their clients around the country. Our client provides managed IT services and supports businesses with a range of services including software, Microsoft 365 products, hardware, networking, internet, hosting, cloud-based servers, security, communications, and database backup and recovery.

About the Role:

As a Field Technician, you will be the primary technical support for your clients, either on site or online/phone. On-site, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve issues, and when remote, you’ll handle client enquiries and technical support over the phone as well as escalate where needed. You will troubleshoot and support:
  • Microsoft Office 365 including user setup and licensing;
  • Server management including installations, configurations and updates;
  • VoIP phone systems including documentation of configurations;
  • Website administration including updates, backups and security monitoring;
  • DNS and domain registrations including maintaining records and renewals;
  • Network administration including managing firewalls, switches, routers and VPN’s; and
  • Security including monitoring systems for irregularities and breaches, and escalations.
About You:

You will be a quick learner passionate about client interaction. You should have  1 – 2 years of IT or customer service experience and possess the following attributes:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Technical understanding and interest in providing whole-of-business IT support;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft systems including the Microsoft 365 cloud suite;
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence (Class P or Open) and vehicle;
  • A quiet and professional work space for remote work; and
  • Ability to apply safe work practices when troubleshooting networking and internet issues.
IT qualifications are not required; however, you should have a strong ICT aptitude and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with clients in a professional environment are essential for success in this role.
