We are seeking an innovative, experienced Application Services Specialist to join our Business Application Services – Digital Presence team. They will work on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the core systems that enable our digital customer channels. The primary focus of this role will be supporting our core billing system and Contact Centre support systems. Delivering expert technical advice and support on these applications, that will enable you to contribute to a culture of excellence. You will collaborate with other internal teams and vendors to manage Incidents, Requests and contribute to continual system improvements. Demonstrable experience working within enterprise environments and knowledge of ITIL Service Management, SQL, Application lifecycle support, Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies and application testing and release support.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing quality support and service to internal clients and projects. Including being responsive, ensuring clients are kept informed and meeting required timeframes.
  • Delivering expert applications management support by enhancing and monitoring our platforms and applications.
  • Ensuring that enhancements and development of our systems are sound in architecture / service design and sustainable.
  • Applications support and development using industry standard processes e.g. ITIL.
  • Actively generate ideas and identify continuous improvement initiatives that improve service and team performance.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Providing technical and systems analysis and advice in the support, administration, maintenance, and enhancement of Business Application Services managed production applications – Core billing & Contact Centre Support Systems.
  • Processing incidents, service requests, problems and change work in accordance with SLAs.
  • Regularly evaluate, standardise, and manage support procedures and documentation to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify automation and innovation where possible to drive effectiveness.
  • Analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills within a complex technology environment
  • Experience working within complex enterprise environments – Corporate, Government.
  • Proven ability to build effective and collaborative relationships to provide excellent customer service.
  • Competent in communicating, negotiating, and influencing across the business to drive outcomes.
  • Excellent self-management, work prioritisation and time management capabilities to achieve critical timeframes.
  • Participate in on-call roster duties and after hours support as agreed.
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science or equivalent demonstrable industry experience
