Position Details

Hammond Park Catholic Primary School is a double stream Pre K – 6 Catholic primary school located in a bush setting of one of Perth's growing southern suburbs. At Hammond Park CPS, a highly committed, professional staff and supportive parents work together to ensure there is a thriving Christian community.

Are you a dynamic, professional, compassionate and hard working Teacher committed to seeing students in your care succeed? We are seeking applications for a temporary teaching position for Semester 2, 2024 in Junior Primary, to be part of a great team.

Selection Criteria

• Be prepared to support the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education as articulated in the Bishops of WA Mandate for Catholic schools and the Vision and Mission of the School.
• Have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of an enthusiastic, connected and committed team.
• Excellent planning and use of digital technologies/IT skills and inquiry-based learning that engages students in a 21st Century Learning environment.
• Familiarity with the big 5 key ideas to Reading instruction (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension) utilising explicit teaching strategies.
• Excellent classroom management, emotional intelligence, learning agility and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
• Working knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to offer a differentiated curriculum, to cater for children of all abilities along with a desire to help all students achieve their full potential.
• Have the gifts of resilience and initiative.

Qualifications Required

• A recognised 4 year teaching degree.
• A current Working with Children Card.
• TRBWA Registration.
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or working towards.
