About the Role

The Advisor - Group Operations Compliance plays a vital role in ensuring that Group Operations initiatives comply with relevant financial services regulations, including the National Consumer Protection Credit Protection Act, ASIC Act, and others. In this role you will contribute to process improvement, support regulatory changes, and assist in annual assessments. Additionally, you will provide insightful reporting on compliance risk profiles and build strong relationships within Group Operations.

A key element of this role will entail collaboration with other Compliance functions ensuring effective implementation of Compliance initiatives. Your work will be essential for maintaining compliance standards and fostering transparent communication within BOQ Group.

About you

We are seeking an individual with prior legal or banking experience, a legal qualification will also be highly desirable Ideally you will have a great understanding of financial services laws and regulations, strong time management skills, and demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for conveying moderately complex information, while analytical skills and attention to detail are essential in this role. A positive, enthusiastic mindset and dedication to continuous improvement and learning are also valued traits for this position.
