**About the role**

As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku Oceania continues to experience rapid growth in delivery of Airports, Warehouse and Courier logistics projects. As a result, we are seeking an experienced person to join our team as a WHSE Advisor Projects & Intralogistics in Australia.

In this hands-on role, you will be reporting to the Group WHSE Manager and is responsible for all aspects of safety, including working with engineering teams on safety implementing and enforcing site safety policies, systems and processes, conducting risk assessments and delivering practical solutions, engaging with key stakeholders on safety compliance and training and upskilling managers.

Your varied responsibilities will include:

- Ensure compliance to safety & risk management legislation across Group Projects
- Provide sound hands on and technical advice to Daifuku personnel in relation to WHS&E matters including the consideration of safety matters during project design and OHS/ injury prevention.
- Working collaboratively with site managers to ensure all project sites are equipped with safety equipment and documentation such as Site WHS plan and risk register up to
- Ensuring hazards are identified, risks are methodically assessed, and corrective control measures are promptly implemented and reviewed.
- Conduct site safety inspections to monitor compliance to agreed work processes and overall behaviors.
- Actively engage with staff at all levels to promote safety awareness and communicates business safety notifications / messages effectively.
- Responsible for the development of Group safety, quality and environmental related documentation for local sites and for the Group.
- Develop safety management plan and system, compile WH&S reports/ minutes and assist with incident investigations.
- Provide quality analysis and accurate interpretation of H7S data and ensure timely communication of findings to relevant Project managers/ directors or Group WHSE Manager.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audit programs in line with Daifuku OC Safety requirements.
- Participate and lead the development and implementation of safety initiatives and WHS&E projects and training programs.
- Assist with return-to-work cases and communication with external workers compensation/ injury management providers, internal management stakeholders and the injured employee.
- Support and assist with WHS across the Group, including O&M and offices.

**About you**

As a Group WHS Advisor you will have proven experience as a Site Safety Advisor, preferably within a material handlings/ installation/construction-based environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety.
- Experience in ICAM Lead Investigation or similar.
- Construction Induction Card.
- Certificate IV in Training, Assessing and Auditing desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in Lead Auditing is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience as a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator is desirable.
- A working knowledge of Australian workplace Health and Safety legislation, regulations, standards, procedures, and codes of practice.
- Expertise in the MS Suite of productions i.e., Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to ensure continuous improvement culture is attained.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in high-risk work environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent stake holder management skills.
