The role

Are you a customer centric individual? Do you go above and beyond for your customers and enjoy working in a team environment? Then this may be the role for you We are seeking such an individual to join Council’s Community Facilities Team.
 
In this role you will prioritise customer satisfaction by offering a comprehensive booking service for the community facilities managed by Council, such as halls and centres. The focus will be on providing end-to-end support for customers throughout the booking process and ongoing relationship management for our regular hirers.
 
This is a temporary, full-time position for 12 months, requiring occasional evening work.
 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • A key focus on the day-to-day management of Council's community halls and centres.
  • Responding to customer enquiries at one of our Customer Service Centres front counters by telephone and in writing within required timeframes.
  • Utilising Council’s facilities booking system to deliver this service.
  • Undertaking site inspections.
  • Demonstrating an ongoing high level of consultation and strong collaboration and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will have

  • A Higher School Certificate or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in community facilities booking service and/or facility management.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality customer service.
  • An understanding of community organisations and working with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with a facility booking system is highly desirable but not essential.
     

 The salary range for this opportunity starts at $69,728 (Grade D, Step 1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
