  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) for critical IT systems and services.
  • Design and implement robust data backup and recovery solutions, including off-site and cloud-based backup strategies.
  • Establish and maintain redundant systems, infrastructure, and network configurations to ensure high availability and resilience.
  • Develop and document detailed disaster recovery plans outlining step-by-step procedures for recovering IT systems and services.

About you

We are looking for someone who has great relationship building skills both inhouse and vendor to elicit support for recovery plans and testing regime. It is important to raise the profile of service continuity management across project teams. Having strong communication skills is a bonus as you will occasionally present in executive forums on risk profile and continuity preparation and testing. Being engaged in business continuity forums (BCI) and a willingness to understand industry movements is useful for this role.

You’ll also need

  • Proven experience in IT Business/Service continuity, disaster recovery, or related roles, with a track record of successful planning and execution ideally in a complex IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and architectures, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in conducting business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify critical IT services and potential threats.
  • Experience in designing and/or governing data backup and recovery solutions, including backup software, replication technologies, and cloud-based backup strategies.
  • Solid understanding of recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO), and the ability to translate them into actionable recovery plans.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards related to IT service continuity and disaster recovery, such as ISO 22301 and NIST SP 800-34.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation or ITIL Intermediate certificate in Service Design or Planning, Protection & Optimisation is advantageous but not required.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • A hybrid working environment
