Senior Project Manager – Kronos

PLEASE NOTE - THIS ROLE REQUIRES YOU TO BE BASED IN SYDNEY AND HAVE FULL WORKING RIGHTS

Daily rate:$850 – 1000 + super
Duration: 6 months initially
Start: ASAP
Location: Sydney (remote working – occasional visit to office)

Client:

Our client is an established brand in Australia looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong Kronos experience to manage large and complex projects through the project lifecycle, from concept into transition to operations

Responsibilities:

  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex projects, typically greater than 12 months, with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies.
  • Ensure that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained
  • Monitor and control resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders
  • Ensure a Change Management plan is prepared, implemented, and monitored
  • Ensure project is handed off seamlessly to the operational teams at completion with appropriate roles & responsibilities, policies, standards, and processes
  • Build and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service providers and suppliers.
  • Build and develop an effective project team, modelling the business Leadership Expectations.
  • Manage employee performance and development, and develops team understanding of the business requirements and strategies relating to the project
  • Promotes and ensures use of appropriate Project and Portfolio Management techniques, methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Contribute to improvements and further development of project management discipline within Caltex IT Services, & development of tools, techniques, and methods to improve project delivery and develop project management skills across IT Services.
  • Engage with Vendors to manage the end-to-end procurement process, RFI, RFP, RFT as required and negotiate implementation statements of work for delivery of project outcomes.
  • Manage the delivery of statements of work by third party vendors escalating issues with the vendor manager.

Your experience

  • At least 10 years IT experience, with at least 5 years managing large and complex projects.
  • Proven experience in successful development of Business Cases
  • Proven experience and track record in the successful implementation of IT projects
  • Sound general IT experience (applications and/or infrastructure) including systemic knowledge of IT development, operational and change management processes and methodologies
  • Experience in large and complex working environment
  • Strong customer service skills and phone manner
  • Experience in participating in projects.
  • Well-developed organisational skills and the capacity to be flexible in balancing priorities to meet/exceed customer needs.
  • Polished and detail orientated in written communication articulated
  • Ability to prioritise multiple requests and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated capacity for translating thought into action and being fully accountable for results.
  • Proactive nature to ensure constant awareness and knowledge of changes in operation throughout the business
  • Takes pride in achieving success and creation of value for the business.
  • Confident with complexity, contradiction, and change
  • Ability to construct arguments, to challenge positively and constructively, and to distinguish requests from underlying needs
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data, and present in accessible form
