Job Title: Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage project teams in the delivery of major capital works outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage project teams through project governance and formation
  • To develop procurement and contracting strategies, ensuring alignment with procurement policy
  • To manage payments to consultants and contractors in accordance with legislation and contracts
  • To plan and manage forward works project procurement, including engaging consultants and contractors
  • To provide timely and accurate project reporting, including cash flows, program milestones, and critical ministerial reporting
  • To ensure compliance of the project team with departmental systems, tools, and processes
  • To evaluate and manage progress and performance of projects using program management tracking and monitoring systems

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications in Construction, Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ years of relevant project planning and delivery experience in a large, complex work environment
  • Managing portfolios of projects with individual values over $75M, with proven experience in delivering projects with multiple simultaneous phases and/or at multiple discrete locations
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members
  • Proven experience in a diverse team environment, requiring effective collaboration with other support functions and reporting to multiple senior stakeholders
