ABOUT THE ROLE:
Summary of the role: We are looking for a friendly professional person with strong admin and exceptional customer service skills to join our Patient Services Team as an Admin Officer in the Day Surgery Unit.
Mercy Hospital for Women, HeidelbergFixed Term Part Time Position - Mondays, Thursdays and FridaysDates: 13 May to 30 August 2024Hours: 0630-1500Admitting and discharging patients, contacting patients confirming their details, supporting clinical staff with admin tasks, checking/printing theatre lists ensuring paperwork is signed and completed, preparing packs for patients going to theatre.ABOUT YOU:
Previous experience in a health setting and a knowledge of iPM desirableSound communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional customer serviceAccurate data entry and well-developed computer skillsEnthusiastic, motivated with a strong work ethic and 'can do' attitudeAbility to work autonomously and as part of a team.ABOUT US:
Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
