The Opportunity
As Head of HR, you’ll report directly to the CEO and lead a team of 5 in HR and Operations. Your role will be pivotal in designing and implementing strategies that align with the organisation's growth goals while ensuring employees feel empowered and supported.
With the company on a path to significant expansion, you’ll have the chance to drive initiatives that shape the future of the business, from talent acquisition and employee development to ensuring the culture and values that make this company what it is, don't get lost in the growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the HR strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s vision and growth plans.
- Enhance HR policies, processes, and frameworks to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Provide strategic advice to the executive team on IR and ER
- Lead the design and implementation of professional development programs.
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and offboarding to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Use data-driven insights to evaluate and improve HR initiatives.
- Strengthen performance management systems to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and inclusivity through creative programs and initiatives.
- Support leadership with succession planning to develop a robust talent pipeline.
What We’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources, organisational development, or a related field (essential).
- Proven experience as a hands-on, results-oriented HR leader in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to align HR strategies with business objectives and drive employee engagement.
- Strong understanding of Australian industrial relations and employment law.
- Experience leveraging HR metrics and data to inform decision-making.
- Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience scaling HR functions to support rapid workforce growth is highly regarded.
