Job Details:

Virgin Australia is seeking a qualified HR professional to join our team as a People Advisor. This is a unique opportunity to work in a broad and diverse role that is the first point of contact for all People matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide advice to managers and employees on workplace agreements and HR policies.
  2. Monitor, review, and implement changes to HR policies to ensure accurate and consistent information is provided to employees.
  3. Creation and distribution of HR documentation to support People matters.
  4. Provide coaching and advice to leaders on conducting employee disciplinary processes.
  5. Advise and support managers on first-tier grievance and conflict management.
  6. Ensure accurate and robust documentation of employee matters within the People case management tool.
  7. Support the process of benchmarking roles, award assessments, letter generation, and HR reporting and analytics.
Requirements:
  • A HR degree or studying towards a HR discipline and/or generalist HR/IR experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exposure to or experience in end-to-end case management of lower-level cases.
  • Experience communicating effectively at all levels within the business.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to work to SLA's.
  • An exceptional team player attitude, willing to help others out in order to deliver for the business.
  • The ability to learn and effectively use a broad range of platforms/systems (Versa Case management, Live Tiles - Microsoft 365, SharePoint).
