The Role – Field Sales Manager

The biggest growth opportunity for Sonoma is in the foodservice channel.
A field team of 6, which will grow to 8, currently calls on 2,000 cafes in New South Wales.

The business has created the new role of Field Sales Manager to bring sophistication, accountability and a strategic approach to the management of the team, taking performance to the next level and unlocking growth opportunities.

  • Develop and execute plans that maximise commercial delivery, enhance brand credentials and drive professional and personal development of your team.
  • Drive focus and accountability against a small number of important KPIs, using rich sales data to ensure activity is targeted and aligned to strategy.
  • Ensure that growth doesn’t come at the expense of the fast, attentive and personal customer service that Sonoma are known for.

Success in this role positions you as a future leader within a growing business with big ambitions.

You

This is not your first field sales management role, but you have hunger and energy for more.

  • Quality experience in FMCG field sales, preferably within foodservice. You might come from an on-premise background in liquor or coffee.
  • You will be strong in all aspects of sales planning and execution, from territory planning, to executing the perfect call, to reporting
  • Previous experience leading, coaching and developing a team
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, and confidence without ego. You won’t mind getting your hands dirty or personally going the extra mile for a customer.
  • Genuine passion for brand and product, not just performance.
