The role

Providing leadership and team management to ensure efficient delivery of core services and high engagement, appropriate induction, development, resourcing and recruitment, and performance development. Overseeing and monitoring the records governance function in accordance with Australian Government information management policies and procedures and ASIC's Information Management Strategy. Implementing an effective records disposal program for both physical and digital records. Developing and overseeing a continuous improvement process of the records management function. Providing relevant technical advice to stakeholders and implementing programs to support records compliance. Managing the corporate recordkeeping system and provide guidance on business system assessments. Managing service contracts to ensure compliance with government procurement requirements. Working collaboratively with the Senior Manager to deliver on ASIC's strategic priorities and team business plan. Supports ASIC's corporate mailroom.


About you

A relevant tertiary qualification in Information or Records Management from a recognised educational/ accredited institution is essential, and/ or equivalent work experience in Information / Records Management at a management level.  Experience administering and delivering a compliant recordkeeping systems and services in accordance with legislative requirements.  Problem solving and analytical skills for investigating and resolving stakeholder issues and improving work practices. Experience using a variety of software applications simultaneously including information/records management systems (including RecordPoint or Records365) SharePoint or SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 environment to process, store, retrieve and report information.  Experience in effectively presenting information to different target audiences through strong business writing and verbal communication skills.  Stakeholder management experience including building, maintaining and utilising networks, sustaining positive relationships with team members and stakeholders and being responsive to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations.  Membership of a relevant professional association is desirable.
