Your New Role:

In the role of the Senior Manager, Analytics Transformation you will play a crucial role in delivering a ‘whole of Fund’ advanced analytics capability as part of the Strategy & Transformation team. As the Fund continues to grow, there is an immediate need to transform its use of data, analytics and AI to support strategic decision-making and enhance member services. This role sees you engaging with business and technical stakeholders across Member, Investment and Enterprise domains to ensure the Fund has the right data, tools, skills and processes to improve decision-making at strategic, managerial and operational levels.

Key duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Work with the Head of Data Strategy, Analytics & Insights to transform the Fund’s use of data and analytics for decision-making, in line with the Fund’s data, analytics and AI strategy.
  • Manage a central analytics function (the ‘hub’ in the ‘hub-and-spoke' model) to support Domains in meeting their advanced analytics needs, including providing guidelines, support repositories, technical knowledge and skills.
  • Manage a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, developing their careers and supporting their professional growth.
  • Support recommendations and prioritisation of analytics activities and initiatives for the Fund, including perspectives on value, cost, risk and resourcing of projects.
  • Provide requirements for data/analytics assets, tools and repositories to the Technology team and manage interactions.
  • Design and deliver a process for identifying, prioritising and planning analytics use-case delivery, including hands-on workshop facilitation with business teams.
  • Set the vision and roadmap for the Analytics Hub (AzureML) infrastructure and processes as the Fund’s preferred advanced analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence platform.
  • Promote the use of the Analytics Hub across the Fund through outreach, use-case identification, role-modelling, onboarding and ensuring the infrastructure and processes meet user needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of best-practice MLOps within the organisation, promoting frameworks that streamline model deployment and management while reducing risk and promoting collaboration.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven professional experience building and delivering an advanced analytics capability in an organisation of comparable size, complexity and regulatory oversight.
  • Strong data and analytics risk, governance and ethics orientation.
  • Advanced stakeholder management expertise and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams. 
  • Advanced ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through persuasion and coalition-building. 
  • Advanced written and oral communication/ interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to executive management.
  • Comfortable with ambiguous, non-linear processes and flexible to adjust as requirements and resources shift. 
  • Experience in working under pressure, managing multiple conflicting priorities and meeting timeframes. 
  • Solid commercially based relationship management experience with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Experience in working with cloud-based machine learning platforms and technology stacks.
  • Professional experience in data and analytics consulting, advisory and project delivery.
  • Experience leading teams within a hub-and-spoke organisational structure.
