Description

Natural self-starters who plan, direct, supervise and guide execution of projects that run some of the world’s largest exchanges. Comfortable leading multiple projects across several departments and to follow an agile management philosophy, relying on Atlassian’s Jira as a project management tool to facilitate organization and collaboration of a project. The role is accountable for providing status, via individual project meetings and a regionwide fortnightly meeting.

Oversee and drive the overall project management process for Cboe within APAC, as well as individual projects to expand offerings on Cboe Australia and Cboe Japan Build and develop project teams to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, implementation plans, risk management, ongoing oversight, capturing project artefacts in JIRA and Confluence, and postmortem after completion Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes

Responsibilities

Planning and guiding the execution of complicated software development technical projects across interdisciplinary teams Taking high level business objectives and providing detailed analysis to ensure implementation meets the objectives while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation Developing the tactical project planning and long-term strategic project planning Liaising with regional teams to keep track of the projects, and to help identify cross-dependencies between the projects. Creating and providing project summaries and regular updates to senior management Driving operational stability by ensuring teams learn lessons from incidents and deliver on follow up actions Evolving our project management procedures to improve our ability to execute and seek opportunities to improve quality or efficacy Working with the project management team globally to ensure consistent best practice across Cboe

Qualifications / Experience:

Five or more years of project management experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Ability to learn the intricacies of our technical systems and financial markets Project leadership in the financial markets sector, specifically on trading or exchange systems Proven delivery using agile frameworks – JIRA / Confluence and the associated ceremonies – backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint review, and retrospectives Proven success in building relationships and communicating at all levels (both written & oral) Excellent presentation skills
