We are the representative body of the Landcare movement in NSW and the voice of community Landcare.

Our Council represents around 60,000 Landcarers and 3000 groups and meets three to four times a year. The organisation is overseen by an eight-member executive and a small team of part-time staff. Our structure enables the building of skills, capacity, strength and connections at every level – from individual groups to district networks, to regional associations to the state peak body, right through to the National Landcare Network in Canberra. Landcare NSW acknowledges and pays respect to Aboriginal People and Torres Strait Islander People who are the original owners of the land, seas and water. About You :

  •         Proven working experience in managing projects, including task, resources and project budget management
  •         Solid experience using of Project Management software
  •         Knowledge & experience of at least one recognised Project Management methodology
  •         Experience working with a Landcare organisation or similar
  •         Excellent external and internal communication skills
  •         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •         Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  •         Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project or similar and Salesforce CRM
  •         Tertiary qualification in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  •         Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification will be favourable considered
  •         Experience or knowledge of conservation ecology and/or biodiversity conservation

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Landcare NSW Operations Manager, a skilled Project Manager is required to join the team to lead and manage Landcare NSW projects with key government partners relating to various aspects of natural resource management. The successful candidate will preferably have experience working within a Landcare organisation or similar and have proven project management skills and experience.

The successful applicant will be a self-starting, highly motivated and enthusiastic professional who is equally happy working alone or as part of a team. You will have a minimum of five years project management experience, preferably with a natural resource management organisation. Tertiary qualifications in a discipline related to natural resource management and/ or project management will be highly regarded. Your outstanding interpersonal, communication and time management skills will be matched by a strong knowledge of project management tools and how to apply them to effectively manage projects for Landcare NSW.

Job Responsibility :

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate should have experience working within a Landcare organisation or similar and demonstrate sound project management skills and experience in at least one or more project methodologies.

  •         Manage multiple projects concurrently, including the management of project resources, milestones and budget
  •         Provide accurate, timely and detailed project updates to the Landcare NSW CEO
  •         Work closely with the project Business Partners, Program Team and the Landcare NSW Government Relations Advisor, Communications Officer and/or Marketing Coordinator to plan and manage joint media and communications
  •         Build a strong working relationship with the key stakeholders across the state
  •         Identify and manage project risks both internal and external to Landcare NSW
  •         Ensure projects deliverables are managed to the agreed upon milestones
  •         Ensure projects are delivered within budget expectations
  •         Ensure compliance with stakeholder reporting requirements
  •         Consolidate and communicate project outcomes to Business Partners
