We do more than collect the bin from your street we also; convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a JJ’s Parts Supervisor / Stores Supervisor you will play an integral role within our workshop teams across multiple depots in Melbourne & Regional Victoria.

You will report to the Workshop Manager and will lead and coordinate and support the efficient day to day running of our busy workshop and depot, communicating with our driving team, mechanics and external providers with all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.

We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.

  • Coordinate bookings with external service partners and suppliers and closely manage urgent requests 
  • Support the Workshop Managers’ during the day to optimise workflow and minimise time off road
  • Lead a small team to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders 
  • Take responsibility for the onsite parts store and lead improvement projects 
  • Control incoming and outgoing goods 
  • Ensure daily documentation and records are completed and filed in a timely manner 
  • Audit our internal systems 

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role – Service Advisor / Parts Interpreter – ideally heavy vehicle
  • Solid mechanical aptitude 
  • Demonstrate a professional and outcome focus
  • Complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
  • Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail
  • Drivers licence, forklift ticket
  • HR licence - ideally
  • Work well individually and as part of a team 
  • Want to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industry 
  • Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders
  • Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
